Congrats are in order for her being named a new assistant coach at Sam Houston State. It sucks to lose her as a part of the longhorn basketball staff, but glad to see her branch out and grow in her perfession. I wish her the best of luck, and I hope to see them win all but one of their games next season (of course thats working under the assumption that we will play again this year)

finally an official announcement:
Stephens hired as an assistant coach at Sam Houston State

Great that she finally got a shot at coaching. Gonna miss her at UT. She was one of the friendliest people and very approachable.

It's surprising how few Horns have gotten into coaching at the college level.
