Anyone know anything that works well to get weeds out of st augustine?

I have Johnson grass growing in my St. Augustine. I need help. I live in Manor. It's northeast of Austin.

I would use roundup. Johnson grass is a s.o.b.

Materials needed to get rid of Johnson grass:

1) Shovel
2) Dirt
3) Plug of replacement grass.


The products that allege that they "control" johnson grass don't, and anything that will kill it will kill your lawn grass, and necessidate the digging and resodding of the area anyway.

The best way to get rid of any weed is to...

1) Dig it up at the root.

2) Cut your grass higher so that the St.Augustine will get stronger and suffocate any smaller weeds out.

3) Weed and feed in the spring and hope it rains a bunch.
