Spurs vs Suns

The Spurs have knocked Steve Nash and Suns out of the last 6 playoff series they've faced with Tim Duncan playing?

Oh well, another fan base that hates the Spurs... and we'll probably break their hearts again too. Spurs in 7.

either one will be playing for second place in the west vs Lakers

Spurs getting eaten alive in the paint. Tempo is too high for the spurs to win. But I think spurs bench can outplay Suns bench.

Suns win championship, and the crowd goes wild!!!!
oh wait, it's just game 1.

Good game, stats look pretty even. Both teams went on runs, but Suns went on the first run, and the last, and pick up the win.

Manu drives so well in the 4th quarter. Won't be enough tonight though. Look for the Spurs to win game 2 and close this out in 6. Trouble is I don't think they can beat the Lakers. Winning 3 series on the road is just not something that is reasonable.

Pretty even game after the 1st quarter. Big 3 all had good games. Nash was fantastic for Suns. Should be a long series.

I knew trouble lurked for the Spurs when I saw Bennett Salvatore.. He is one of the worst refs ever. Case in point Dallas v. Miami in the Finals a few years back in game 3

We're going to have to do a better job of preventing them from getting out on the break. The Suns in the half court aren't nearly as dangerous as they are in transition. We'll see if Pop and co. can make the adjustments.

Fouls and FT were pretty much even, I think PHX got into the penalty early in the 4th though. I expect all the remaining games to be like this one, each team making the run, and the one who ends on a run wins.

If any Spurs fans feel bad after game one, Orlando is up 40 on Atlanta, after not playing for the last week. They very well may sweep this series too.

middle of the 3rd, and even though it's still close, i'm just waiting for suns to go on a 10-0 run, so I'm not too confident.

Story of this game: Suns 9-19 on threes. Actually shooting a better % from three than overall.
out rebounded Spurs by 10. out offensive rebounded by 10.

It's common to keep the English name of the team with a Spanish descriptor, rather than translate it to another language. I've seen Spanish language newspaper sports sections that have scores like "Filadelfia Eagles 24, Nueva York Giants 20." They don't change it to Aguilas and Gigantes because that's not what they're called on the field.

This is such a tight matchup, two great games so far and the Spurs could have one either, but came up short.

No doubt the Spurs are missing Bowen, Horry and Barry's perimeter shooting right now. For all the gushing about Dudley last night (and rightly so), in my opinion that game tipped on Channing Frye's ability to do for his team what Matt Bonner couldn't do for his...
