Anybody know how to get a tight seal on a threaded union ball Valve? It is for my sprinkler system on the pipe coming out of the house and connecting to the system. Old one cracked last winter, and I can't get a leak-less seal on the new one. I have tried with pipe tape and with pipe dope. Any ideas?
