It's the third show of the new tour, which starts on April 1st in San Jose. Tix on sale February 7th.

SWEET.

it'd be cool if he did zilker park. i'd probably go to it then.... but i would like to see this dude play and if the FEC is the only option, then i guess... =(

I really want to go to this show, and I really want to sit up close. I don't mind paying above the $89 top price. What's the best way to increase my odds of landing a good pair of seats? Camp out at some obscure Texas Box Office location? Wait for scalpers?

I have been a big fan of the Boss since the 70s, but the last time I saw him he did different versions of several of his classics and it was a little strange. I don't mean acoustic versions of songs, but a different tempo, music arrangement and style. I know it gets boring doing the same songs the same way all the time, but I would rather hear tight energy driven close to the originals in his live shows.

Just my nit picking, still always an awesome experience.

I have been to 50+ shows in the last 25 years. Most of the time, I get very good seats by waiting until the last few days to buy tickets on ticketmaster. He "drops" tickets from time to time but you have to be patient and, most importantly, have access to a computer at all times.

I won a pair of tix last night from KGSR (I was the dork who knew that the first of his 17 grammy wins was for Dancing in the Dark). Dunno how good they'll be so I'll probably buy two on Sat. & keep the better pair

The first time I saw Bruce was at the Armadillo. "Wild, Inncoent, and the E-Street Shuffle" had just been released. Cost $1 to get in-that's right, 1 buck. It was such a great show, the next night they charged $2.

I got pit tickets for LA too! Hopefully I can complete the trifecta when Austin tickets go on sale. I saw him in St. Louis last August from the pit, and I just don't think I can ever go back to traditional seating! Five feet from Bruce = BAD ***.

For those of you who may have seen him in the past, is there a mad rush to get tickets. Meaning if they go on sale at 10am, will they be all gone by 10:01?

They're always a tough ticket but I would think you'll have a reasonable shot of getting them. Depending upon your method (phone, in person, online) I would count on some waiting. I figure I'll be sitting in front of my PC for a good 30 minutes in qeue before I (hopefully) get in.

I did alright. Got in after about 7 minutes, tried for GA floor & they were all gone. Tried 3 more times, first 2 were mezz and the 3rd was arena 46, row 20 so I grabbed 'em. Done in 18 minutes.

It took me 40 minutes to get in. It offered me seats on row 17 of section 88 (upper level, as far from the stage as you can get). I decided that wasn't worth $100+ per ticket.

Oddly, the IE window I opened at 10:15 got served faster than the Firefox window I opened at 10:00. So much for the queue.

Hmm...I didn't even consider that a different browser might somehow get through quicker (I use Safari). My only gripe about Texas Box Office's site is the stupid password you have to type in before seeing a ticket. I swear I can barely read the damn thing half the time. What's the purpose of making it so difficult to read? How does that improve security?

I also use Safari. I opened one window for TexasBoxOffice.com, which had me waiting in queue past 10:00am. Then I opened another for LiveNation.com, which opened for sales at exactly 10:00am. The weird thing is it directed you to Texas Box Office for the purchase. If I had waited on TBO to open up, I probably would have wound up in the Mezz.

I'm going with my daughter and she got the tickets online Saturday morning.

Said it was not that hard.

Middle priced tickets on the side.

I don't know how high.

Neither of us has ever bee to a Springsteen concert.

Looking forward to it.
