I know many have discussed the possibility of Darius White committing at or around the Spring game but are there any others that might pull the trigger?
Seastrunk, Matthews, and Jeffcoat will all be there for the weekend with their parents.
So I suppose it's possible they could all commit.
Jeffcoat recently said he was going to commit as soon as he knew "he was in the right place," and if I'm not mistaken this is his 3rd weekend in Austin in 6 weeks. He said he had no plans of dragging the process out. He also said he had summer trips planned to some schools.
Lache Seastrunk's mother is supposedly tiring of the process.
This is just my opinion but it seems that guys getting "tired of the recruiting process" can only be a good thing for UT at this point. Especially since Lache's mom likes UT, and Jeffcoat has been here 3 of the last 6 weekends (including this coming weekend).
Any one know if Hicks is going to make it down?
Here's to hoping we pull in a few more this weekend!
"Getting tired of the process" seems like it would cause some kid to commit just to get people off their back, take a break from it all, then break his commitment when he feels like playing the game.
I guess some kids like being the center of attention, but I do believe that I would tire of the constant phone calls, questions, people I don't know walking up to me and telling me what school I should attend etc...
While I agree GHoward makes a good point, you've got to think the kid would also reconsider all those feelings about the process that made him want to end it before reopening his recruitment. If you got tired of it once, don't you think you would get tired of it again? And secondly, it seems if you do commit that it doesn't stop the mail, phone calls, etc. It might stop some but if your a guy like Lache, it won't stop it all.
Backing off of MacFarland because he was overwhelmed with the process is one of the reasons we lost out on his commitment (all the Mom issues aside). It has to be a difficult balancing game.
Hicks and Mathews definitely will NOT be there and I don't think JJ will either. JJ was in last weekend and there are suppose to be 200 or so sophomores there this weekend. I doubt any commits will come unless it is D White, which is big enough and one of the biggest of the year!
Yeah, I think all 3 of them are going up there for the game. THe Sooners are putting a lot of stock into signing Bell and that turning the tide (so to speak), but I just cannot see this happening as White has been a solid Texas lean for a while.
