Spring depth chart analysis

By my count, Jones missed the most blocks against CO. I wouldn't be surprised if Karic takes over at RT, but what do I know.

Nice summary. OL looks pretty decent. RBs and WRs both look very good. D has a lot of talent. This team will go as far as Casey and/or Hudson will take us.

I'm getting the feeling this is going to be a really good year, but I think it will go as far as Bijan and the defense will take us.

I think our passing game will be good but Bijan and the defense should be the strength of the team.

The first 5 games will be a lot different than the last 7 games. I think the team will still be learning things in those 5 games but somewhere around game 6 the lights will come on and they will stop thinking and start just reacting. Once that happens, these guys will go next level. If Texas can make the Big 12 championship game, I think they will win it all.

Besides my glib comments, I did note that in Hawaii, which is very aggressive in enforcing social distancing, lockdowns, etc., doesn’t require vaccinated folks to quarantine 14 days if they have been exposed to an infected person. So, if you are vaccinated, you likely don’t get infected (particularly 18-21 year olds) and you don’t have to quarantine when someone else does.

Wait a minute... I'm vaccinated. So you're saying my wife has been lying about me having to quarantine whenever she says she has to? Dang! I'm giving her a real talking-to in 13 more days.

It was good thanks for sharing.

Interesting he says RB Bijion Robinson is the "leader on the offense"....

Here is some nice insight not directly related to depth chart.....good info if you read it through...

Early impressions of who's standing out so far in spring football for Texas
LSU Grad Transfer Ray Thornton (now playing a position similar to what Ossai played) was quite a catch. That's exactly what we need in this conference--good pass rushers. A video I saw claimed Jacoby Jones will likely be the leader in sacks with quite a few of them. All good news there. Our interior DTs are studs, but some injury bug concerns linger. The realities of conditioning for men the size of Coburn and Sweatt means that they've got to substitute in and out every half dozen plays or so to go all out full speed. It sounds like Jerrin Thompson (2nd year S Lufkin) is the emerging stud in the DB.
Nice report.

We've gone from looking at converting WRs to RBs a year or so ago, to having RB as a big team strength. Bijan could be an All-American. And behind Bijan, Roschon has developed into a tough power runner ala Forman or Priest Holmes.

Bijion and Roschon are the best 1-2 punch at RB the Horns have had in a long, long time.

I'll tell you I am very JAZZED about the talent on this team.... early on in this new era.

In Sark I trust.

He has surrounded himself with some of the best asst. coaches in the nation. I'm honestly more optimistic than I was with Charley & TH that Coach Sark is the right Captain: competent, confident, experienced with what it takes to be successful at a high level and ready for prime time at UT.

I believe he & his staff will get these players properly coached up and focused. They will get them prepared, in a position & in a positive mindset to execute and win every week!

We will see.....

I agree. And honestly, the impression that I have is that Sark possesses the kind of personality who can dress a player down and still be loved by the player after having been subjected to his scolding. End result; a much better player.

What does this mean? This pure, unadulterated bulshit:

Now, Coburn says that Angilau looks the part of an offensive lineman at 316 pounds, a weight that should help him create more displacement at the point of attack.
Picture him doing a cannonball off a high dive and then again with the opponents dline as the water
