Spring Break..sad.

This might be one of the last Spring Break trips I get to spend with my daughter. Last year she ditched us on the slopes and skied with her friend Sarah, since there were 'boys" in the group.
We managed to ski together last week, but she'll be doing this stuff with friends instead of dear ol' Dad. I've been taking her skiing since she was 6.

When she was 7...

I'm going to miss it.

I feel for you. We've been taking our granddaughter on vacations/camping trips since she was 3 and she's the same age as your daughter. So I can see the day coming when she'll have better things to do.

Mine, a son, is 18 and heading to college in September. He spent not one minute with me on the slopes this break. We met up for lunch via cell phone. Letting the little ones go is a long, long thread better suited to Quacks, I suppose.

I feel for ya.....I have twin 2 1/2 year old daughters. I dread them turning into teenagers. I will have to stand at the door with a shotgun!

It probably doesn't help one bit, but you've made some college boy very happy. Why? That's a girl who doesn't mind being cold, knows how to carry her own gear, can get down the slopes without a yardsale, and to boot, by then will probably smoke all the dudes anyway. I can't tell you how many ski trips I wanted to KILL someone's girlfriend because she was a total nutcase beyotch who wouldn't stop whining while my buddy carried her gear and his.

Kudos.

Yeah, I'm thrilled.

God help the poor sumbitch, because she has to go every year, and it's ******* expensive.
She forgot her ski pants at home: $100
She left her rental poles in the shuttle bus: $40
Wouldn't pass it up for the world though.

I learned how to ski at Ski Apache. The front of the mountain blue run called 'Capitan' or 'El Capitan'. Something like that.

awww. I know how you feel. My 13yr old used to joke , want to hang out with me, watch Sat. morning cartoons with me and. shows we DVR'd together, etc.. not any more.
I miss her !

Mine's 10. She's still too young to drift away but I can sense a small change in her over the past few months.
