Yes, what was the final score-it was 9-0 in the third inning, and Cat was cruising along. I believe they end it after 5 if there is a 7 or 10 run lead (?).
China fell apart in that first inning-that was fun to watch.

Finch came in at the beginning of the fourth to relieve Cat. Game ended 9-0 after 5 innings.

Unfortunately while we all love these results because we are USA fans.....This result does not help the case of keeping softball an Olympic sport as the IOC sees it simply as an "American' sport. It's amazing how active USA Softball has been in trying to boost the performance of other nations around the world, especially youth but that will take time. Kind of ironic how the more you win by for the USA the worse it looks towards keeping the sport in the Olympics.

Here is a great blog/opinion about the argument that softball is being dropped because of American domination. It is just a convenient excuse for Jaques Rogge, really.
