Obama has made a statement recently, on several occasions, that the 2% cut in personal SS contributions that went into effect this year should be extended, because it creates jobs. Please explain this reasoning to me, as this cut appears to reduce the total annual contributions to a floundering SS system, exacerbating that problem, and only provides additional funds to those who have a job. What am I missing here?

Pelosi claimed that here Healthcare debaucle would create four million jobs.

They have no clue.

Ah, so Obama is now a Reaganite, believing in trickle-down economics....got it.

Comments from Obama and Pelosi (and Chuck Schumer) on the economy always make me chuckle. They are utterly clueless.

Bevo-

I understand the idea of more discretionary income, but it seems like a stretch to presume that the spending of no more than $ 2,000 per year per worker leads to an increase in jobs. I don't buy that this money is being spent anyway. I think in many cases it is being saved, or using for necessities such as food, utilities, mortgage payments, etc.

I find it strange that the impact on the SS fund, as compared to the resulting actual "stimulus" to the economy and resulting job growth, has not been addressed by anyone in the media, despite repeated statements by Obama pointing to this policy as a job grower.
