Spiders

Any advice on getting rid of spiders. They're building webs all over our front entryway and I've been throwing water at them and then stepping on them when they hit the ground but they keep rebuilding their damn webs so obviously this isn't a good solution.

Have you tried a bunch of different toxic chemicals? Becuase, that seems to be the solution do anything with more than 4 legs.

Do you leave your porch light on all night, or just a lot?

That will attract a LOT of bugs, which will, in turn, attract a bunch of spiders.

I don't normally leave the porch light on but the spiders all showed up over the summer while someone was subletting so they might have. The spiders don't bother me all that much but I live with a girl and they bother her.

I'm usually a live and let live guy, but a few creatures get no harbor from me, and one is spiders. I asked a bug guy what he recommended to 86'em and he suggested any bug spray should do it - ant, wasp, roach, etc - apparently their skin lets everything in... ...including chemicals and shoes.

There's a pet store across Burnet from Trudy's north that has one of the world's largest spiders - some bird eating number from somewhere tropical. I went in there one day and it was all I could do not to put my boot through the glass and finish him off. A 12" spider....
