My wife. She got one. 11 over. Problem is she just took defensive driving for another one back in February of this year. Provided that she can't do DD again for this ticket (depending on what time frame she is given when all is said and done), what options do you propose, other than slowing down

? Lawyer? Ask for Deferred Disposition? Do they really look at the Defensive Driving dates if it's a different municipality?

deferred adjudication, basically you pay for the ticket and are on probation (for the same offense). Usually this last 3 months and when you have complied with the probation, the ticket goes away.

they check the dates. you have to get a DPS driving record to turn in with the dd completion cert
(in austin)

Get your concealed handgun license. I've got warnings he last 4 times I've been pulled over. I think it's an unwritten rule that tickets are not written for CHL holders. That and I am always very cool with the cop who pulled me over.
