Speaking of BBQ

I have always believed that, besides the food itself, the biggest single contributing factor in making BBQ such a passion, and in the long run so much fun, is the differences in opinion of what is the best. It is a pretty rare occasion when two people will agree on a big picture combination of factors that make successful BBQ.

This is a pretty interesting article from CNN this morning that I found to be well worth the read, as well as some side links within the article to blogs and other items of note.

I started a thread on a Buenos Aires message board using this article as my inspiration. In the article it mentions that man has been cooking meat with fire for 250,000 years and the only thing that separates the way they did it back then and the way that Argentines do it today is that they add salt
. That's it.

Nothing more... and it kills me.

That's a great article and I will be sending it around to many people this holiday weekend. (It's a holiday down here as well. May 25th is one of Argentina's two Independence Days.)
