Spartacus War of the Damned

Does anybody watch this series? I love it and I hate that this is the final season but what a great ride so far. I wish this season wasn't so short with only 10 episodes.

So who's the new bad guy who appears in episode 2? Is it THE Julius Caesar?? And what the hell was that slave doing with the knife around his groin area? lol

Yes it is The Julius Caesar. He was active at the time of the Third Servile War as the Spartacus revolt is officially named. The slaves were defeated by Crassus. He defeated 30,000 slaves under Crixus in 72 BC. The remainder under Spartacus were defeated in 71 BC. Crassus pushed his army hard so he would not have to share glory with Pompey who had been recalled from Spain. Caesar was busy in the Aegean chasing pirates and later led a land campaign in Asia. He did not return to Rome until 69 BC. He was an ally of Crassus but did not help him chase the slaves.
