South Park

I just finished watching all 12 seasons of South Park in reverse order on the internet. That show is pretty base and yet incredibly funny.

I'm embarrassed to admit how often I laughed my arse off only to be digusted moments later.

The only time I laugh is when Butters does anything. He cracks me up.

All the other guys play World of Warcraft. Butters plays Rainbow Brite's Picnic Adventure.

The episode where he pretends to be a girl is awesome too.

It's the best show of all time ever yeah. I love being able to watch any episode on the website. Just in case I suddenly need to see Terrance and Phillip in "Not Without My Anus".

So what's the best episode? Scott Tenorman Must Die has got to be up there. Wilziac the whale was pretty hilarious. I dunno, there's too many to name.

What I like best about these guys is that nothing is too sacred. They go after what no one else will, like political correctness. They have figured out a way to get to a level of shock value on television, which is tough to do. I liken it to when Archie Bunker first hit airways. Nothing like that had ever been on US televisions before.

For example, perhaps the most sacred cow today is gayness. It's practically illegal to have gays as the butt of jokes anymore (unless its other gays and certain women). Jay Leno was roundly chastized recently for a quick off the cuff remark during an interview, and had to appologize on air. Yet South Park gets away with an S&M leather clad gay character who shoved Paris Hilton up his rectum in her entirety. With no appolgies.

Snuke in Snizz? Manbearpig? Smug alert? No one else on television comes close to this stuff.

Not only are they comic geniuses but they've also shown a high business acumen by identifying an unserved niche in the market, and exploiting it. In this light, they are like Murdoch and FNC. For the business vision, not the politics.

I definitely think they've hit their stride the last 3 years, they're a lot funnier than the first few seasons.

Both of them are libertarian. They don't really hate Family Guy. The Family Guy staff refers to their random jokes as 'manatee jokes.' As politics go they haven't done much to FNC or Bill O'Reilly. The episode where they made fun of him didn't really do anything. Most importantly they HATE hippies:

The Return of Chef had to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen. The audio editing of the old voice clips damn near made me cry.
