South End Zone Construction

Agree.

Questions: Will it been done by opener 2020... and how much did taking out those stands reduce seating capacity at DKR? I'm thinking about ~ 2,000 ~
 
I get that it’s a multi-year project. But this close to the first KO, I would have expected them to have finished demolition and site prep and started on the temporary fencing and seating.
 
Over the last 10days they have covered up a deep hole they dug in the southwest corner. I would assume that was a drainage change. Also the two construction cranes were erected in opposite ends of Moncrief and created a massive pile of dirt right in the middle of the project.
 
Looks like there'll be no temporary bleachers in the south end zone, at least for the La Tech game. You'd think they'd throw some up for the LSU game

They say it’s not going to be completed until 2021 season, but surely there’ll be some new seats ready to go for next season,
 
It looks like they've been spending a lot more time on the Moncrief alterations than the framing of the SEZ based on the limited times I've been nearby.
 
Yeah. I know with the elevation discrepancy from east to west it seems like they had to build up the lower west side before matching the east side so I think that's part of it but its becoming more uniform now. The overall design looks slightly different from some of the renderings but I like it, I think.

Correct. Note the new east tower has topped out while only the base of the west tower has been completed.

Also note the beginnings of the longhorn snout around the center tunnel.
 
Even though my excitement in the upcoming season has been squelched by the insane player demands, I drove by the south endzone and its looking great. So theres that.
 
Does anyone know if all needed funds have been raised to complete this? Seems like I remember last update was 80-85% were collected but not all. Could the completion hinge on future donations which could be affected by the university's decisions toward the current player demands?
