SOPA and PIPA

These bills are not just about stopping rogue foreign websites or the theft of intellectual proerty. There is a sinister purpose here and if it goes through, it gives the government incredible censorship powers on foreign and domestic web access. Any politician for this legislation has either been bought or is against our constitution. We can start with Patrick Leahy, a well known sell out and democrat. Many republicans are for this new legislation as well. If Obama was the person he claims to be, he would veto it.

I expect either vote or bill to be shelved for a while since the public outrage is beginning to hit...i imagine we would be living in a complete police state by now if we didnt get to vote every two -four years.

The bill is ********. In theory an ISP could charge you for particular websites and how much bandwidth and when.

Imagine guys running for POTUS in 2050 if this bill was passed- journalists could reveal that their households downloaded 23TB worth of porn in 2048! Oh the shame! But seriously, we don't want crap like this passed. Porn and privacy are as American as apple pie and football.

Wonder why the public outrage is just now coming out? Thanks to popular websites for highlighting what network and cable news have buried for months now. These tv news agencies are owned by the corps that are buying (have spent almost 100 mil thus far) both republican and democrat law makers to get it passed. Nothing like a little green river flowing from Mt Corporation to bring donkeys and elephants to drink together.
