Sooners over Frogs

The Horn Identity

It may be obvious, but there, I said it. And, I'll probably get ripped for it. But, the USC lost to OSU solidified it for me.

I know it's way too early to be talking BCS championship. Heck, I still 2-3 losses for the Horns along the way. But, the fact is we want OU, and Mizzou for the matter, to stay strong. And, certainly any loss should only be within our conference.

I didn't say I liked it. And, you won't catch me actually routing for the Sooners. But, it is better for us if they win.

Recruiting is why I feel no guilt in rooting against 0U, even when it causes a slight blip on our strength of schedule.

Other than winning, what reason is there for any football player to want to go to school in Norman? Once they start losing, they have nothing to sell.

I know it's cliche, but we just need to worry about ourselves and Arkansas right now. They brought up a great point on sportscenter last night (i know, shocking) that LSU and OSU both lost their last home game and still made the title game. It's way too early to worry about OU or anybody else.

As far as I'm concerned any OU loss is a good loss, so if TCU beats them again it will be funny. However, I assume they will win and if they do thats fine too. But TX/OU will still be TX/OU if TCU wins.

Why do we need a better SOS?

Dude, well as long as we are undefeated, I'll keep an (admittedly unlikely) hope that we could find our way into the BCS championship. Short of going undefeated (which is also unlikely) our best chance in the annual beauty contest is have quality wins (or even a quality loss) to a top ranked OU and Mizzou team.

I'll stand by my statement. We want OU > TCU.

**** that. We have several tough games on our schedule and from my projections we will play 9 or 10 bowl teams this season. If we win out there is no question that we will be in the MNC game. If. Having said all that, I want OU and Aggy to lose every game they ever play. Ever.

Sorry. Stoops melt downs are just too few and far between. I would like OU to watch us play the B12 Champ this year, too. So, claw em or flick your sticky tounge at em, or whatever the hell horned frogs do.

I see no circumstance in which I would ever pull for okie to play for a championship again...EVER! Mizzou, well...the sun don't shine on the same dog's butt every day, so I've heard. If the Tigers make it out of the Big XII, cool beans...if Texas can't make it. Zero-U?...nope...if they were playing Al
Quida State, I'd learn to say Hook 'em in Arabic.

When did I ever say that I wanted OU to play for a championship? I merely pointed out, the obivous, that we'd be better off if OU beat the Frogs b/c it helps the perceived strength of our conference.

I didn't say you had to like it. I didn't even say you had to route for it. But, WE are better off if they win.

All that being said, I will be laughing my *** off if they lose to the Frogs again.

now that usc lost, if we were to go undefeated, I see no scenario where we would not be in the mnc game. same goes for ou, mizz, tt, lsu, ala, fla, and ga. No more than 2 of those can survive without a loss Wis and penn st would need 7 of those 8 B12/sec teams to lose to get in. Most likely no one goes undefeated and were left with silly voters and and computer hacks to leave us scratching our heads again

Compared to what I've seen from the North schools as compared to the South schools, OU seems like paradise compared to fanbases such as Missouri.

Tonight I have no problem saying Boomer Sooner.
