I dislike pigeon holing shows as "best ever", but this has definitely become one of my all time favorite series. I have seam marks on my *** from sitting on the edge of my seat.

It takes every ounce of power I have to turn the channel from LHN, but this is a show I've stumbled upon a few times that I really enjoy watching.
Seinfeld is the only show I have ever dedicated to regularly, but I may have to add SOA to my resume.

i quit watching when....

spoiler...

they had the chance to catch the people responsible for raping the motorcycle gang's matriarch and they just let them go. just way too unrealistic. and they sure did spend a lot of time in that hospital.

Holy **** the opening show last week was intense. They did **** you just don't expect to see on cable, and I don't just mean the tits and ***.

I think he meant unrealistic in that people with a biker gang mentality are not going to pass on a chance to take their revenge.

I've heard a lot of talk about how this show is based on Hamlet, and i get that, but to me it's The Godfather on motorcycles, and I think this is the season where Jax/Michael Corleone accepts the fact that he's always gonna be a criminal.

i mean in real life, they would've gone in and ripped the guy to shreds.

to me, almost too much stuff happens and there are always loose ends that don't get tied up. the show is super popular though, maybe i was just expecting too much.

I don't really get the problem with their reaction to the rape. The only one that knew for quite some time was Unser and possibly Tara (can't recall). Once Jax and Clay did find out, they meted out justice in a brutal, but calculated manner conducive to the circumstances at the time.

Compared to other series where story line sub-plots are dropped inexplicably with no explanation, I don't see the loose ends referred to either. The story is woven well in my opinion, with new threads from the past and present being revealed each season.

I guess one man's loose end is another man's Einstein-Rosen bridge.

Hunnam does a helluva' job in the Jax Teller role, especially considering that he's British.

If you want to hear his real accent, then check him out opposite Frodo in Green Street Hooligans.

Far from "the wire" and "breaking bad' but it is a solid show. The biggest quirk to this show is I actually would be happy to see them all get killed. Where as Tony Soprano was a low life I looked forward to him coming out on top. These characters are interesting but just not appealing or worth redeeming.
