Was just thinking about their stockpile of draft picks (6 first round picks in the next 3 drafts), and how nice it would be if the Sonics somehow landed the top pick this year and took Beasley. Then I was confused how they would line up with Durant, Green and Beasley. I thought the plan was to eventually put Green and Durant at the 3 and 4, sorta interchangable, but Beasley would be a solid 4 moving Durant to SG and Green to SF? Ok that was me thinking outloud, ignore it if it makes no sense.

Durant/Green/Beasley as starters doesn't make sense. If they draft Beasley then they should either trade Green or plan to use him as a 6th man, because I really don't think Durant should be at SG long term.

Initially I heard the plan was to play him at SG until he got stronger, then move him to the three. But I watched a Sonics game and the Seattle commentators said that PJ's long term plan was to play Green at SF and Durant at SG. I don't think Durant should be playing SG this season, but to do it long term, in my opinion, is just a waste of Durant's talents. We all know Durant can rebound it is just a shame that the Sonics are not utilizing his talents. Commentators always rag on Durant for his rebound numbers, 4 pg, but they don't take into consideration that he is playing on the exterior.

Also, I don't see Green being a legitimate starting SF any time soon, if ever. He's a great hustle guy and will eventually be a solid role player. But considering that he was the fourth pick and the Sonics traded Ray Allen for him, I am not impressed.

Yeah Green doesn't look like he will be worthy of the top 5 selection but can still be a solid NBA player. Sonics need so much they should still look for best player available. I am rooting for top 2 selection in lottery to get Rose but if they get screwed and stay at 4 or 5 then I prefer Bayless from Zona, that kid will be good. A better Ben Gordon. As long as they don't get DeAndre Jordan, I would be happy actually.

Most rookies suck their 1st year, Green will be a solid starter eventually. I too hope they get Rose
