Songs you associate with movies, not soundtracks

What songs do you now associate with movies, that weren't part of the soundtrack?

For me, of course I link "Stuck in the Middle With You" with Reservoir Dogs.

Also "Sister Christian" with Boogie nights. Any others?

"Gimme Shelter" with The Departed. Especially the opening guitar riff. I think it was the numerous ads (which had the riff) for the flick that burned this association into my mind. I don't recall what part of the film (if any) had that song.

I don't understand how those already mentioned aren't part of the soundtrack?

Enlighten me, please.

For me, I'll mention:

"As Time Goes By" - "Casablanca."

"When You Wish Upon A Star" - "Pinnochio."

"Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's Off To Work We Go" - "Snow White."

"Somewhere Over The Rainbow" - "The Wizard of Oz."

"Tiny Dancer" - "Almost Famous."

"Love Lift Us Up Where We Belong" - "An Officer and a Gentleman."

"Unchained Melody" - "Ghost."

"White Christmas" - "Holiday Inn."

"Let's Get It On" - "High Fidelity."

"Louie, Louie" & "Shout" - "Animal House."

"Where Is My Mind" - "Fight Club."

"Beth" & "Sweet Caroline" - "Beautiful Girls."

"Moving In Stereo" - "Fast Times At Ridgemont High."

"The End" - "Apocalypse Now."

"Bohemian Rhapsody" - "Wayne's World."

RomaVicta, I was confused by the original title and post not your reply.

I thought your contribution was as valid as mine.

Sweet Emotion- Dazed and Confused
The Killing Moon- Donnie Darko
Singin' In the Rain- A Clockwork Orange
Jumpin Jack Flash- Mean Streets
All the Way to Memphis- Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore

It's really fresh but I'll never hear that Flo Rida song, "Low" (Apple Bottom Jeans) without thinking of Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder.

Black Betty by Ram Jam - Blow, that scene where Johnny Depp is all in white and walking through the airport

Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith - Dazed and Confused

I agree with most of the songs listed above. But when I first read the title, this song popped into my head:

"Melt With You"- Valley Girl

The Link

Though it was played at the end of the movie going into the closing credits, it's used here starting about 2:45 into the video and then it stops ~2 minutes later, before picking up again nearly where it did in the movie at ~6:15 into the video.

Everybodys Talking - Midnight Cowboy
Eye of the Tiger - Rocky 3, it kind of qualifies since it wasn't the actual theme song
Also Sprach Zarathustra and Space Oddity - 2001: A Space Odyssey
I Got You Babe - Groundhog Day

and of course

Green Onions by Booker T and the MG's featured in, The Sandlot

Two that come immediately to mind for me are Family Affair by Sly & the Family Stone and She Sells Sanctuary by The Cult from the movie Singles. The soundtrack from Singles is still one of my all-time favorites.
