Something I saw today.

Ok. I am rewriting my original post. I had a long drawn out prelude to my question, but I decided to erase it and just ask the question. If we put games out of hand the next few weeks, what is the chance that Mack and GD will allow our second teamers run the offense as if they were the first team?

I noticed that subs for USC and OUsucks (who i believe are the 2 best teams at this point) were alowed to do this at the end of their games today. Please don't get me wrong, I am not criticizing GD's overall playcalling, I just want to see the same plays being called with the second team. Also, I am not advocating for more playing time for John Chiles. I don't care whether its him or Harris, our back ups need to get experience dealing with a diverse and balanced offense. Why not try the Q package late in the game with Harris and Chiles together? Also, it effects more than just the QB position. Our young WRs need as many gametime reps as possible, involving more than just run blocking. Also, if Blaine goes down who will we turn to as a cathcing threat at TE?

I truly think this is the real difference betweening reloading (USC and OUsucks) and rebuilding (us). And with our talent it should not be that way.

a very reasonable theory in my opinion. We don't let our subs show what they can do and therefore they don't get to really "play" in similar game situations.
