Solutions for crappy cell phone service

First...long story but changing carriers is not an option nor would it really solve my problem. We're pretty sure its a neighborhood thing as all my neighbors are having the same issue.

Does anyone have any experience with signal boosters...? What about high gain antennas...?

Has anyone met this issue head on and solved it...?

What carrier do you have?

Sprint and Verizon sell devices that can boost your cell signal in your home, office, etc. Sprint's is called Airave, don't know what Verizon's is.

Thanks waldo....I have AT&T and I've had a number of discussions with them about my issues and they've never offered me anything like you mentioned above. I'll be more direct on the next call.
