at first you dont comprehend that its real and the immature part of every guy thinks its funny, like it is in the movies. then you relize how sick and twisted that was

I think it is a fake for shock value. Either it is a fake dog, or the dog was already dead. If the latter, doesn't make it much better.

Of course it's real. I appreciate everything the military does, but let's face it. A lot of these grunts in Iraq didn't exactly grow up in normal homes or get perfect scores on their SATs. They're in the military for a reason.

why the **** did i click this or watch that. i seriously would enjoy slicing his nutsack open and impaling his testicles with an ice pick. sadisting ******* loser.

ok, let's say it's fake... why the **** would you create this video that indicated that you were even pretending to do something like that?

There are just certain things you don't F with. At the top of that list is puppies. If that video is real, I'm all for a no-food "survival of the fittest" between him and Vick. Or, let me put this pop-dick in an opposum outfit and let him go 5 minutes with my 2 dogs.

This link shows a screen cap of his bebo page. He tries to "explain" himself.

I think he sucks. It's bad enough that the Army orders people to shoot dogs. It is quite another when he throws it over a cliff and tortures it. Then has the balls to try and make excuses for his apathy and act like he was doing the puppy a favor by breaking it to death and causing it to die a horribly painful and slow death.

A man can be measured by how he treats people like his children or mother...or in how he will treat an animal.

if that blog post is true, i'd much rather see him shooting the dog than giggling like a shithead as he throws it over a cliff.

I thought it was common knowledge that cruelty animals was a fairly common thing coming from our soldiers in Iraq.

Seriously, why the hell is anyone acting like this is surprising?

HONOLULU (AP) - The Marine Corps said Wednesday it was expelling one Marine and disciplining another for their roles in a video showing a Marine throwing a puppy off a cliff while on patrol in Iraq.

Disclaimer:
I think there is something really wrong with the guy. It is mean, coldblooded and heartless. I won't watch the video again because it's pretty terrible.

However: I was wondering what the military brass thought of this. Soldiers are in a war zone hopefully killing the enemy. The strain on the typical soldier is so foreign to most of us, it's hard to fathom. This guy throws a dog off a cliff killing it. It is heartless and I certainly don't want to glaze over the fact that an innocent animal was abused like this.

But it's interesting to me to think that if it were not for youtube, the commanders wouldn't have cared less, even if they did hear about it, or see the video around camp. It's easy to see that it is a terrible act from the comfort of your desk while looking at your dog sitting on the floor by your feet. And from this vantage point, it's uncivilized and crazy. But war sucks.

You can easily say it was an unneeded, twisted way to entertain yourself. Much like the baylor baseball players with the cat a few years ago. I won't argue against that, but also won't say the two are equal. Those baylor players weren't kicked off the team for it either, if I recall correctly.

Anyway, I'm not justifying his actions, but just thinking about the fact that the soldiers probably see unbelievable things that are much, much worse. I'm willing to bet the military kicked him out not because of the action, but because of the uproar of media afterward. Obviously the military has to keep it's nose clean after the many incidents of abuse we've seen in the media.

Anyway, hate to see a dog being abused, but it's 20/20 from my desk. I wouldn't have done it nor approved of such a thing if I saw it. But if I were his commander, I wouldn't have kicked him out of the service for it. Maybe his service record warranted it and this was just another incident.
