Soft Shell Crabs

If in Houston, try the Mexican version at Pico's Mex Mex on Bellaire near Renwick. Also try one of their fish bowl margaritas...the largest in town. Owner is from Monterrey. Very unique place. Special place for me because it's where I took my wife on our first date.

Sentimentality hasn't colored my view of the soft shells, however. They're outstanding.

Most of my family is partial to their crawfish enchiladas (usually off menu).

I don't think they are the same thing, but I never ordered the Mariscos.

If I don't get the crawfish I usually get either the cochinita pibil or chiles en nogada, both are the best I've had.
