Looks like Setanta(UK) is going to go bust soon. This would suck.

Timesonline

I assume it would be for the US feed also. This is the feed most bars/pubs would be getting and those of us that have it on subscription on Direct or Dish etc. could lose out. If Setanta couldn't make it I don't see who will pick up for the US. FSC or ESPN might, but their coverage sucks.

Plus I can't see FSC/ESPN picking up all the rugby that Setanta shows. This will be a real loss (for me at least). Last season might have been the high point of soccer coverage in the US for a while.

On the other hand, maybe someone will pick up the pieces and make it even better.

Wow....Shocking to me. When I was at USA Rugby we were close partners with Setana USA. At the time things seemed to be going really well for them. They had a great online area for watching live feeds....Wasted a couple weeks sitting around in the conference room watching the Rugby World Cup. That's a shame to hear they might be gone.

That was a pretty amazing result to start the WC off with, Napoleon. I remember everyone who knew a heck of a lot more about rugby than I ever will were very impressed.

That sucks. They are the ones who show my beloved Aussie Rules Football (Go West Coast Eagles!). I love watching that sport.

if ESPN is looking for a bargain (not saying i want it happen, but if they want ot dip their toe into the EPL, this may be their chance)

For those with Directv - this past weekend sucked with their spat with Versus

but....

They have set a group of channels for the Champions League and Europa League and are showing all the matches, most in HD.

It is channel 461-470. Channel 461 is one of the "mix channels" that shows all the matches on one screen.
