Plonsky has to be looking over her shoulder. Three of the 6 or 7 major women's sports are undergoing these changes? Sooner or later the finger has to start pointing at her.......

Sometimes it isn't always the head coach's fault. In soccer I noticed that at the games with the Aggies that the Aggies must have more scholarships. One time I noticed they had 29 players to our 20. That means more depth in case of injuries, fatigue, attrition, etc. It also means maybe you have players on your bench that could be playing for the other team.
Still we should be doing much better in women's (and some men's) sports than we have done. We pay top wages, have great facilities along with a great school and city. If softball goes one and done or even two and done Coach Clark may be on the hot seat.

How do they do Women's scholarships, do they do halves or quarters, are there any rules in those regards?

I am pretty sure in soccer they don't give full rides, or not many. They give out halves for sure not sure about anything bigger or smaller than that.

I'm not sure but I have to think they get full rides. Up here, thanks to Title 9, the crew team recruits chicks off the streets for full schollies to row.

No disrespect to the athletes but picking up women's rowing was a major cop out. Texas would not have to recruit out of Dallas/Houston area if Belmont had opted for gymnastics.

I understand the scholarship advantage with crew but I assume it's also a pretty cheap sport to field. The issue is there is very little interest (if any) in that sport by Texas fans. From that perspective it was a poor choice of sport.
