So Will This Fox / Time Warner Thing Get Resolved?

I'm not directly impacted, but I doubt it will be worked out immediately. Holidays mean no one will likely discuss it until Monday. By then, many big bowl games will be missed.
Will it be resolved by the 7th? I doubt it.

Just my uninformed opinion.

A bit ago I read there is a 3 or 4 hour extension on broadcasting and if an agreement is not or was not reached that would be it till possibly Monday. I guess they don't intend on negotiations on the holiday weekend but c'mon, get over it you corporate types. Work a weekend and charge your customers for it.

Fox appears to me slightly more to blame here, but TW is also playing with a weak hand. Fox' declination to binding arbitration is surprising, but arrogant people make stupid decisions.

TW's rates will be going up no matter what. If they agree to pay Fox, payments to ABC, NBC and CBS will soon follow which means a rate increase will soon follow. If they don't agree, they will lose Fox and sufficient customers that they will have to raise rates just to stay even.

Guess who gets screwed in the end?

Looks like they are extending the deadline a bit at a time..

Note at the bottom there are several other disputes going on right now....plus DirecTV & Versus.
