Ian McShane can make the phonebook sound incredible, even without a single **********.

I enjoyed the premiere, but I wonder if it will have legs. With all the religous undertones, I am curious to see if it pulls ratings.

i didnt know anything about it before watching it last night. looks like a modern day telling of king david. ill record it the first few weeks and see where it goes.

i dont know if nbc will be able to pull it off, probably would be a better series on cable. it was ok, i wasnt crazy about it but will give it a few weeks.

Lots of flaws in the plot, but the premise is novel enough and McShane is sufficiently compelling to keep me watching for a few more episodes.

Some of the concepts and settings are fascinating and unique for a network show. McShane is amazing and King Silas = Al Swearengen part deux which is awesome.

Premiere was great for the first 90 minutes. I felt the pacing at the end was far too much and the war>peace>war>peace was campy.
