So what will Springsteen play tonight

Roughly 15 minutes ... what songs will Bruce play at halftime?

My predictions:

1) Glory Days

2) Born to Run

3) The Rising

4) Dancing in the Dark (probably put the stadium lights down for part of this one); I feel not quite as sure about these as the others.

5) American Land

He'll do one single from his new album for sure. Probably Born to Run (even Nils Lofgren admitted he HAD to do that one.) My guess on the two or three others would be The Rising, Thunder Road and Badlands. (I so hope he doesn't do Born in the USA so the NFL can march out a million little kids with American flags and all that stuff. I hate when politically charged songs are misused like that.)

I kinda have this vision of him doing one of his tent-revival style talks about the country being rejuvenated, heading out of the darkness... etc...., which would kind of go along with the Rising.

bet the farm, ranch and eveything you own that hewill play BTR and 10th Avenue.

I say no way Born in the USA is played - most people know that as a Vietnam themed song and this would not be the time or place. IMO it should be the perfect time/place but that's not conventional thinking. Also no on Glory Days which has been co-opted as a baseball song.

I'm thinking two songs from the new album. The title track is Working on a Dream which fits perfectly. I think the first single is Lucky Day which also works.

Otherwise, agree with the above on The Rising and Born to Run. If there is a fifth song, I'll guess Promised Land. Would love to hear Hungry Heart or Out in the Streets though.

Pretty much guaranteed to be 4 songs, and he may have to drop a verse from a song or two to fit in the alloted time.

My guess is:
1) Glory Days
2) My Lucky Day
3) The Promised Land
4) Born to Run

I'm pretty certain about 1, 2 and 4. The 3rd song is the wild card. Rosalita's too long. The Rising doesn't fit the party atmosphere. BITUSA has about as much of a chance to be played as Mary Queen of Arkansas, IMO. He's spent too many years trying to reclaim that song for him to throw it back up for grabs.

If he's going to modify a song my guess is it's Glory Days. He could play the first verse--maybe even change the baseball player to a football player, skip the 2nd verse & do it in under 3 minutes.

Glory Days, I also think he might change the words to football player.

Born To Run

One from his new album, which I've never heard, and I know none of those songs.

I've seen the Boss 9 times in my life. This performance was one of his best. Excellent song selection considering the constraints he was probably under from the NFL and the limited time.

Am I they only one who thinks that Bruce is a little overrated? I mean, I can appreciate the music that he puts out and I do think he is a good artist. I'm just not the biggest fan of his style.

That being said, I did like the halftime show because it's nice having real artists perform. I was also one of the few that actually liked Paul McCartney's halftime show.

Pretty impressive performance. Probably wasn't necessary to bring in the bit with eferee throwing the delay flag or whatever the hell that was. Still, a definite upgrade from the Up With People days.

If you think Bruce is overrated, you haven't seen him in concert. Last night was NOT a Bruce Springsteen concert.

I am sorry but some of those notes he was singing were off.......way off. The band is great though.

I just got two GA tix for the Saturday show in Jersey. I'll be close enough to tell Bruce personally that you all think he sucks.
