It's not really a story about Michael Beasly, it's about Hill making twice as much as any other asst coach. That is of course all that $$$ actually went to Hill and not someone else due to the recruitment of Beasly. Still, assuming the worst, that's a lot of money for a 1 year player.

The article is slightly misleading. It says that Beasley stayed at K State even after Huggins left for W. V. In fact, Beasley played under Huggins one year and left, never having played for Martin, except as an assistant coach.

Otherwide, an interesting article.

The article is ALL about Beasley. You think Coach Hill would be making all that jack (or even been offered a job) had he not brought in Michael Beasley? Recruiting is an ugly game.
