Here is my selfish rant post...

The sky is officially falling. This team will not recover. They don't know how to and this coaching staff certainly doesn't know how to teach them to. They are mentally exhausted and emotionally broken.

I was wondering in the middle of the night why I care so much to even let this crap cause me to lose sleep. I was so disappointed in myself for allowing this to happen. Enough about me though. I am working on it.

My point is, I have given up and making a prediction right now. Mark this post and come back to it in a few years when we have finally fired this asshat of an arrogant know-it-all head coach.

Rant complete. Flame away...

Haha, not trolling. Just a selfish idiot trying to get a grip on why I let this crap bother me so much and make a prediction at the same time. Did I mention I live in N AL and have to deal with SEC and Alabama fans? That certainly doesn't help, lol!

oooh. that would be a psychotropic looking for a place to happen.

I hear ya. thought this was gonna be the breakout year. I got fooled, too.

I'm beginning to agree with the idea that having all those years with a rabid anti-orange blood as Gov didn't do the UT AD any favors.

YOU are not the only one trying to get a GRIP on all this....all comes back to coaching....yes, there are injuries, or so I've been led to believe....but, still....KSU came out with a game plan that DOMINATED a team that we looked like we should not have been on the same field with....
the GREAT news: KSU is coming to town.....God, help us!!!

well, let's call the administration and tell them we're too scared to play K-State, because all of you are....good news is there's 11 plus days ahead for everyone to calm down and come out of the pity storm shelter and watch Texas compete with K-State. Over the years, don't know how many times Texas was favored and got beaten by a "lesser" opponent. Maybe everyone in two weeks will think we're "less than" K-State. Hope the Longhorns surprise/disappoint the lot of ya.

I "unofficially" predict 44-41 in OT. We beat KSU. Just because they beat OU does NOT mean we cant beat them. If our D had had 1-2 injuries instead of 6 we would probably be 6-2 or maybe 7-1 right now. Not having J Whitt really hurts our O and people forget that. We had very limited quality depth especially on D before the season started.

What did Whittington do before his injury vs La Tech to make you think he would have made a difference with this vanilla predictable offense.?

Dude! You need to move! It's bad enough to have to put up with aggys that can't use complete sentences. But, hell! Bama fans only use single syllable words when they speak.

And don't worry too much about the Horns poor performances right now. These things go in cycles, and we're due for the football gods to smile on us and when they do, we'll field some amazing teams in the near future. Hang in there and Hook 'Em!

Our vanilla, predictable offense is averaging 40 points per game through 8 games! Think about that. If I'd told you we'd average 40 per game before the season started, you'd have probably guessed that we'd be 8-0 or maybe 7-1 at this point. It's ridiculous for the offense to have to score 40-50 points per game or we lose.

You have always got the fact that the 'Horns are 7 - 1 against Alabama. It toojk us losing our QB early for Alabama to finally beat Texas.

At least you are honest. I respect this^^^^

This is an interesting post, Clean.
Though generally true, it has been less true the last few weeks. Seems to me the offense has left way too much pressure on the defense at times lately. With a few exceptions, they have been real poor early in games.. especially recent ones. Something just seemed to start going off the rails right around Morgantown. They did put up 50 on KU, but they just havent been the same for a few weeks now, and the defense is not good enough to hold teams off indefinitely.

27,27,38 in our losses....and I'm not sold on LSU's defense.
OU had to score nearly 40 or 50 in 7 of their games last year to win them because of their 3-3-5 defense.

Wow: this board is getting as depressed, angry and miserable as West Mall. The sky is not falling. Herman and company aren't perfect, but they aren't bad and the long term trend is still very much on an upward trajectory.
