I hope the lad develops a skill in shooting outside the paint. It would be nice to force a defense to come out and cover him ... free someone up inside.
As I have been saying since before the season started that Dog has not played the game that he is capable of playing .
He was blowing by ou defenders that were giving him 5-7 feet space. This kid's game has another level that we have not seen as yet. We get a peek at where Dog is best at when we push hard and attack the rim.
You are going to see a very, very good players when the bus driver takes the reins and bit off of DOG!
Would be great if Dogus can develop an outside jumper, but what's more important is that he improve his FT shooting.
He will drive to the bucket a lot and pick up fouls, and thus more points. Also, if he doesn't improve that FT shooting he is a liability at the end of games when teams need to foul someone.
My guess is that when he improves that FT % he will also develop a better outside game. If he has any desire to play at the next level he will have to work on that in the off season.
