Once again ... without our team. Tears. 8th straight summer to attend the CWS.

Yet again I am left to just pull for schools who will enhance our fun/party/tailgate factor. Pretty surprised our crew has 12 people going, we are a dying breed. Not too excited about the possibilities this time around :

NC State v UGA ... UGA would bring more fans.

Irvine v LSU ... no brainer ... LSU would be pandamonium. Geaux Tigers !!!

Coastal v UNC ... Boring. But Coastal would be a fun underdog.

Zona v Miami ... Who cares ?

A&M v Rice ... Oh PLEASE Lord ... don't let A&M into the CWS (cold sweats).

Wichita v FSU ... F Wichita. Brooks Kieshnick hates you !!!

Fresno v ASU ... ASU doesn't bring numbers, but neither would Fresno.

Stanford v CSF ... Another insignificant choice. Although I'd root for Stanford in Omaha.

Pretty blah, but if LSU qualifies it will make everything right in the world.

Without the Horns, my interests are mild, but:

Stanford -- worthy academics and clean, well-coached program; good fans

Irvine -- Augie protege at the helm; respects the game and plays it the right way

ASU -- ridiculous coeds. Plus, i think one of you savages on here went there.

I was there on business earlier this week. I drove around the stadium. It was strange being there without any activity. But, rest assured, it is ready and waiting for y'all!
