So do we not chant 'poooooor aggies' anymore?

Because these last two games have been perfect opportunities for the chant. It was, by far, my 2nd favorite chant when I was in school, with only "OU sucks" coming ahead.

Yet we wasted both opportunities. Beating your in-state rival, who is ranked 1 spot ahead of you, by 20 in your own building? And you don't chant it?

Let alone silencing them, again, by 20, in THEIR building? I thought it was awesome that "TEXAS! FIGHT!" was so clear in their own building on tv, but come on - that is the perfect time for a pooooooor aggies chant.

Did the chant fall out of favor with the student body or something?

But that's the great thing about 'poor aggys', it doesn't measure us against them, it just completely condescending. For all the nicknames and put downs they've created for us, that simple melodic refrain makes their blood boil. And there is nothing better than doing it in one of their venues. A great opportunity was missed.

I heard "Poor Aggies" at the men's b-ball game in Austin on the 19th. It's still around.

And you've gotta be careful about chanting "Poor Aggies" College Station. "Texas/Fight" did the job just fine, and was very audible in the closing minutes of the game.

The last time I remember hearing the POOOOOR AGGIES chant on TV was 2006, during the Texas-Texas A&M game in Austin. It was very clear on TV.

When you win by that much and get up that big that early, by the end of the game it's sort of lost its meaning. The court has been screaming "Poor Aggies" for an hour by that time.

I definitely heard it from my seat at the end of the game in Austin. Not nearly as loud as it should have been, but definitely audible.
