Snuggie

who's got one? my 1946 built house has too many drafts and my gas bill was way too high last month. i'm about to invest in a few snuggies for my wife and visitors. so, who's got one and what do you think about it?

I thought this was going to be a thread about who received one Christmas morning. As soon as I saw that commercial, I told my wife, "Aunt ******* is giving that to us for Christmas."

If it came with a hood, you'd be set for a Star Wars convention. When my brother in law put it on, I looked at him and said, "These are not the droids you're looking for".

When they show the shot where they're out by the fire the voiceover should say "Great for all your outdoor cult gatherings".

I think they have regional color variations too. For example, in the deep south, it comes in white. If you order within the next 10 minutes, they will throw in a pointed hood too.

That's what I heard anyway.

Somewhat of a tangent, but my favorite commercial has to be Loud n' Clear

The woman with the pink shirt and jeans looks like she's wearing clothes for someone twice her size. The tool at the party - look at the cute guy listening into our conversation with his bluetooth device. Wearing it hunting even though there's a little light on it? Wearing it at the game would probably make you go deaf when people started cheering. Blagojevich is in the crowd around 1:04. The awful child impression at 0:49. Bingo! Why does the lady have to ask what trump was if she had the thing in her ear?

Loud n Clear should have an option to buy a heat detector so I can look into my neighbor's house as well. Or a device to listen in on the surrounding cell phone calls.

I have something similar to a Snuggie, and I also have an old, drafty house. I think you should buy the Snuggies because they WILL allow you to make cuts in your heating payments.

I saw the snuggie commercial, and it seems to be based on well-proven blanket technology. I don't see why it wouldn't work. But unlike the blankets in my closet, the snuggie is not paid for. There is always a downside.

How about just using one of the dozen or so regular blankets we have in the closet, honey? They're already paid for.

well sure if you walk around with it you're gonna look stupid...but who does that? when i need a blanket, i'm sitting/laying down. i still say a Slanket though...shorter arms and i believe it's longer overall so it's more of a large blanket than a monk robe.

I thought the funniest part of the snuggie commercial is where the family was wearing them in the stands at a ball game.
