Snow Pea

Anyone ever been there?

It is a Chinese place (and they also do sushi) on Jefferson, I think, near Capra and Cavelli off of 38th.

I like that place a lot, but it seems kind of like it often gets overlooked when the topic of Asian cuisine comes up. Am I weird for liking this place so much? It has kind of a cult following, it seems. A small cult following, but a following nonetheless. I guess it reminds me of the types of Chinese food places I always went to with my parents when I was younger.

I used to love that place. And the lunch special was the bomb. Soup, egg roll, entree and fortune cookie for less than $5.

My wife told me she hates chineese food so I haven't been in like 6 years. Now, she says she likes chineese food, but only from PF Chang's. I'm trying to get her to like cheaper chineese so I can go back to snow pea.

I have been there once, dont know it this is the norm, but my girlfriend and I got totally different things I think she got shrimp something and I got beef something and they tasted exactly the same, very bland and neither good. Also I think we were the only two people in the place and it was "prime" dining hours. Havent been back. If you are looking for something new has anyone heard of Poeny? Take Hancock over mopac (to the west side) and make a right at the light, not sure what the street name is, but it is down on the left. Pretty good food, new sushi guy/bar more expensive than snow pea but way less than pf's.

Hotest asian chick I've ever seen is a waitress at Snow Pea. The food is good but honestly the only reason I keep going back is to take Saki bombs and talk to this girl. She is HOT and likes to flirt.
