Anyone have recommendations for a good brand of mask?

Just make sure it fits, is comfortable and is easy to get to your nose if you need to equalize.

There are plenty of scuba/ snorkel dorks that are 100% brand loyal. You don't have to be like them.

i use mares, but seriously, as long as its not that cheap rubber (usually black), and theres a good seal you are good. I bought a clear mask because it lets more light in.
Its one of those things where more money only gets you a little bit better.

I like the clear silicoln masks that have a purge vaulve. You should be able to find one for around $50 on the low end. I have a TUSA, my wife has one made by US Divers. Go to a dive shop and try them on and see which one has the best fit.
