Snacks you liked to eat as a kid

I was always partial to peanut butter on saltine crackers. I also like to pour a big cup of sugar into a bowl and some rice krispies on top of that and just eat it without milk. I was a weird kid.

What were some of your favorites?

Kool-Aid popsicles (Mom's were always the best)

Peanut butter and Fluff sandwich

Moonpies

Take 4 or 5 pieces of bread and take off the crust. Then roll the rest up into a giant ball. Still do it occasionally

Peanut butter and jelly/honey/molasses (whatever was on hand) mixed up in a bowl together. I would eat it right out of the bowl. Sometimes it would make it to bread.

Raisins and peanut butter. I know, weird. I would grab a few raisins, form them to a ball and put PB on them.

Grape Nuts with a **** ton of sugar. I still do that sometimes now and it is still good for a sugar high followed by tons of energy. It's like eating a tree in every box.

What type of peanut butter did you like? I was a Peter Pan Creamy kid and still am. Was this plain ol peanut butter or the Goober Grape jelly swirl type peanut butter?

We always ate Bama peanut butter (creamy, no nuts) because it was about 5 cents cheaper than Jiffy. They didn't sell Peter Pan in my hometown.

Fruit Roll Ups
Tang Powder (yes, ate it straight)
Flav-R-Ice (I literally ate a million of these things)
Peanut Butter and Jelly mixed in a bowl then dipping Ritz crackers in it...yum

When I was in elementary school, I remember liking cold hot dogs and vienna sausages.

When I was in high school I would make small peperoni pizzas on english muffins. When there was nothing else in the house to eat, I would eat all the croutons and bacon bits.

Butter and Sugar sandwiches

Vienna Sausages. Loved em then,

now.

Cinnamon toast...and not the cereal.
Actual homemade cinnamon toast.
Bread, Butter, Cinnamon & Sugar mixture...yum!

Oh and waffle's and ice cream sandwiches.

A flour tortilla with butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. A french toast taquito, I guess.

I too used to eat vienna sausages. I think I actually read the ingredients on that and potted meat product once and never ate them again. I don't read as many labels now if something is really yummy.

Off the top of my head, here's a few things that aren't even produced anymore:

-Morton's Frozen Donuts (glazed & chocolate)

-Nabisco Brown Edge Wafers

-Carnation Breakfast Bars (chocolate crunch)
