i am thinking of smokiing a turkey breast for the game this saturday. i found this recipe online:The Link but i wondered if anyone here had their own special recipe for this.
also any suggestions for a good side or two would be appreciated.
I usually just rinse the turkey breast, pat it dry, and sprinkle a lot of cayenne pepper on it. Throw it on the smoker. When the skin gets to a nice crispy brown color, put an aluminum foil tent over it to keep the skin from turning burnt motor oil black (it still tastes OK), and continue smoking. On my WSM, it usually takes about 6 to 8 hours total depending on how big a bird it is.
