A while back I posted about a smartphone and it wasn't really for my B-I-L, it was for me. (Long story)
Anyway, I got the Blackjack II from Samsung with AT&T service and I really like it. I have to unlearn the blackberry typing conventions I knew, but that is a minor inconvenience.
It has GPS and I found a site with a patch to unlock it so I don't have to pay AT&T to use the feature on a subscription basis and it is very accurate using Google maps for mobile devices.
Anyway, if you were looking for something like this that isn't an iPhone I recommend this device.
