Skirt steak ruined?

About 4 days ago I put a skirt steak in marinade (the Lowry's stuff that comes in a bottle) with intent to grill it later that day and have fajitas. Something came up and I didn't end up eating dinner at home, plus I've been gone every night since. I have time to grill it today, but I'm thinking it's gone bad. What's the verdict?

not sure. only 4 days sitting in the fridge marinating, I"m thinking it may be pretty tasty.

I think you should be OK... my usual modus is to freeze in the baggie I use to marinate it in, then make sure I take it out long enough to fully thaw.

Wild Turkey- it's probably not ruined per se, but those Lowry's marinades, especially if it's those new ones that they have in the bottle that are supposed to do the job in 30 minutes, have a lot of citrus/acid in their ingredients. Essentially, what they do after a certain period of time, is cook whatever it is that you're marinating in them.

What I'd suggest is doing them on your grill with as hot a fire as you possibly can get. Sear them on both sides on that hot fire, then move them to the coolest part of your grill, and continue cooking them on both sides for probably another three to four minutes per.

Well thanks for the feedback, but by the time I got home I found out the wife had already thrown it away when she was cleaning the fridge. Oh well, now I know for next time.
