SIRIUS vs. XM Satellite Radio

I recently bought a car that came installed with SIRIUS, and have been very happy with what it has to offer, but my buddy who has XM is always talking about how good his is. Is there a difference in programming or perks?

All I can give are the SIRIUS perks:
1. All the NFL games every Sunday (two channels per team, one from each team's broadcast booth)
2. Access to the Music channels over the internet.
3. I personally like the stations and talk shows it has.

Discuss.

Stick with SIRIUS, I traveled in a car with XM this summer and thought it sucked. Buddy of mine has (errrrr had) SIRIUS and it is (errrrr was) great.

If your car came with Sirius, I don't think XM is enough better, if at all, to justify getting additional equipment. Sirius definitely has better sports programming. Other than that, it's just a judgement call.

This topic has been brought up several times. Search the archives for more. They are both great products. FWIW, I've had XM for 2 years and love it.

I have Sirius and wouldn't switch.

Another reason to keep Sirius. They carry all the Longhorn football games. Its Craig Way and crew calling the game too. That's a nice bonus.

i have sirius at home via dish network, and it's pretty good, although there are some music formats that XM has that sirius does not.

I believe that Clear Channel owns a large portion of XM. That being said, Stern will probably look to going to Sirius soon to avoid all the censorship with Clear Channel. If that happens, I'd expect Sirius to outpace XM in the long run much like Direct TV vs Dish network.

Just got XM today... it's paid for by the company so I can't complain. Still, I kind of wish I had Sirius. We'll see...
