Since the loss to aggy

Vol Horn 4 Life

Good Bye To All The Rest!
I've worn my burnt orange every day. You see, where I live there are as many aggies as there are horns. Over the last twenty years or so I get unsolicited smart remarks from friends and strangers after aggy wins and I just suck it up and politely move along. I'd never rub in a victory when I know the victory was enough said.

I've been so pissed at the outcome of this season I was hoping to bait some aggy into making a comment without saying a word. I'm not sure I'd do anything, but in my mind I'd pop him in the mouth or at the very least verbally abuse him just to get the years of politeness off my chest.

However, there have been no remarks, smirks, etc and I'm not sure what to think since it naturally happens every other time. I guess it's time to just let it go.

what can they say if they have a lick of intelligence? "on your most down year in 13 years we squeaked by a win against you because your quarterback turned the ball over 4 times" ?

it just wasn't that big of a surprise or that big of a deal.....

oh...and if they could only barely win on a year when we were this down....what's going to happen if we come back and get things put together? i suspect they are just relieved to have won the game. i know i would be if i were them (or if i were us and we had managed to win.)

You must live in a parallel universe. Houston Aggy has been chirping since Iowa State. When we're rolling, I go out of my way to be gracious and keep low profile. I participate in good natured banter when initiated by them. But these guys have one above average season and all the sudden it's 1987 & they're going to be BCS champs next year.

I work with a half-dozen ags. I gotta say that I took a lot less crap than I expected. Maybe they're trying to "act like they've been there before" or maybe they just feel sorry for us, I don't know.

One commented about what a "great game" it was. I just said, "you thought so, hum?".

Another said we should fire our defensive coach (because of the Cyrus Gray long runs). I explained that the defensive coach was the Head Coach In Waiting.

A third commented that GG could throw long, but missed the short throws. I explained that it was a liitle known fact that GG is blind and the receivers have to yell out their positions on the field, which is why he throws so many INTs because cheatin' ags take advantage of his condition and pretend to be receivers.

I told them all that they better watch out for us next year, when all GG has to do is hand off to Malcolm Brown.

It's now been a week and nothing. Maybe ya'll are right, we were just so pathetic this year even they feel too sorry to pick scabs. Or maybe since they were favored to win and actually did it they're in shock too. I dunno.

it was neat to get the win against texas. but it was not even close to the same level as the excitement that came from beating nebraska and ou.

for whatever that's worth.

I have to say, PropJoe and AggieEric have handled themselve with a lot more restraint this past week than this board probably deserves ...
