Significance of the next Rangers win

Rangers are sitting at 79-60. Last year they won 79 games total. They are already at 79 this year with 23 games to play. Not only that, but their next win will also ensure at least a .500 season.

Can't believe they are 19 games over .500.

yeah, if you are looking at it strickly from a numbers standpoint I guess you could say that

15-8, to me those are the magic numbers. I don't care who we beat or lose to, we win 15 games, puts us at 94 wins, that should get us the wildcard.

I agree with Rex, our chances of catching the Angels are better, given that almost a third of our games are against them. If we go 15-8 Boston needs to go 13-10 just for us to tie, and there's no way our 15 wins have any affect on the Sox. If we go 15-8 and 7 of the wins are against the Angels, then they would have to go 10-6 against everyone else, with 7 of those games being against the Yankees and Red Sox.

While we're closer to the Sox, I think that to make the playoffs we're going to have to win the West...
