1. We're going to have games when Brown is off. There's no way he can be expected to shoot over 50 percent with 25+ points night in and night out. The rest of the team (especially the guards) need to step it up a bit when it happens.
2. The guards can't shoot for ****. Lewis is taking some of the most ill-advised shots since Abrams was here.
3. McClellan continues to impress, but can't compete at a "100 percent" level on every play, which probably explains why he's coming off the bench. He'd be an all-conference type if he used his natural ability on every play (including defense).
4. Our slow starts are going to be our death. We can't allow stuff like that to happen against good teams, let alone SHSU.
5. Wangmene looked good. But other than McClellan, no one from the bench gave any meaningful minutes. Just like last year.
6. Kabongo needs to live up to his hype. I know he wasn't expected to be a huge scorer in college, but he also needs to do his best to avoid putting the team in bad situations. His jacked up shots, missed FTs, and overall lack of control is not what we should expect from him, especially against such an awful opponent. He was trying to pick up the slack that Brown was missing, and did a pretty poor job.
7. We got a lot of homer calls. Those aren't going to go our way in hostile arenas.
