Shows at The Granada Theatre in Dallas (Neko Case)

Yes, another thread from me about my favorite redhead singer.

Went for my first time Saturday night to see Neko Case. Pretty cool experience, no seating, the place is just an open floor sectioned off with "counter tops" Basically looked like Studio Movie grill with the tables and chairs removed, which I think they do have as a set up for Cowboy game watching on the weekends.

The show was great (although the drums could have been turned down just a tad), standing room, close to the stage, decent sound in there, no bad view from pretty much anywhere. The opening act was a band called Giant Sand. Clever and entertaining kinda gritty rock/country type of stuff.

As before, I have confessed my love for Neko in another thread I started a while back and felt like I could have reached out and touched her, but I'm sure my wife would have had something to say about that. Damn that girl can sing! She could just put the phone book to music and I'd listen until she decided she was done.

Anyway, if you get the chance to see a show there, do it. I missed Bruce Robison a few weeks ago and after seeing how fun this weekend was I am kicking myself for not going to see Bruce.

I've seen her a few times before. Love her and the New Pornographers. I had tickets to the show at the Granada but my ************* plane back from Austin (I went to the game) was delayed and got back at about 10:30. Missed it. Hate.

Is Kelly Hogan still touring in Neko's band? Man, that chick is just as talented as Neko. I miss Kelly now that she no longer lives in Atlanta.

Yes Kelly Hogan is still touring with Neko. Yes she has got one fantastic voice. My wife had never seen Neko live so she got a big kick out of all the joking around between Neko and Kelly.
