I struggle with this issue big time. What do ya'll think ? Should a woman run for president , can they hold up to the pressure , or when things get really tough will their motherly emotions take over ?

I'm not saying that they shouldn't , I just don't know.

Some motherly emotions can be damn mean and nasty, so I don't understand the question really.

Couldn't **** things up any worse at this point.

Agreed , but there are jobs for men and there are jobs for women.I think being president might be a job that only mean should handle.

When women were denied the right to vote, it was because they were considered too emotional and it was believed they would vote based upon their emotions rather than their intellect. Society has tried its best to eliminate testosterone from the male gender and it has won. I would say a very small percentage vote based upon their intellect. I bet less than 15% who vote could name their local congressman. Women today are probably more intellectually capable than men on a nationwide scale. Statistics have shown that women now hold more advanced degrees than men and are paid more in certain jobs. So yes, I think women should run for president.

Queen Elizabeth I of England and Catherine the Great of Russia were arguably the most effective monarchs in the history of their countries. In modern times Margaret Thatcher or England and Golda Meir or Israel led their countries during time of war and turbulence and were effective. Of course, running for president is a different way to obtain office than was used by the women I mentioned. So I don't think we should wonder if women are capable of leading the country, but whether they have the egocentricities to run for President. Looks like, based on recent evidence, they do.

14bevo,

Jobs for men and jobs for women? Are you kidding me??

The only jobs a man can have that a woman can't are ejecting sperm and peeing neatly while standing up. And there are some men who aren't even good at that.

Again good points. I guess I can see letting 'em vote , some of them are pretty sharp. But president? I just can't see it.

I'd hate to meet the woman that plays O-line for the Cowboys or Center for the Rockets.

No joke at all. Men and women are different and should do different things. Society doesn't recognize that anymore , that's why things are a mess.
Who gets more chainsaws for christmas , who gets more perfume ?
Bingo !

I don't know of one particular woman that I'd want in there right now but I really don't see how they could do worse than BHO.

Every woman leader {like Thatcher} that you guys mentioned is ugly and acts like a man.So there , you made my point for me.

perhaps their "motherly emotions" are what is needed right now in order to bring all the mothers kids home from 100 countries around the world.
