Should have bought tickets first thing this mornin

Nothing left now for the big games but mezzanine seating behind the baskets. I wonder how many of the $45 arena tickets got gobbled up by people who are going to try and turn around and sell them for twice that. How much over face do you guys find that OU/MSU/KU type games usually go for on game day if you've got some patience to find a decent deal?

I was going to buy two tickets for the first men's and women's basketball games as I am going to be in Austin that weekend. Went to the website promptly at 9am. Got seats for the men's game against UC Irvine in Section 60 (mezzanine level). Got arena level tickets for the women's game with UTSA, Section 20!

The Arena level seats to Men's games are sold out to season ticket holders before the individual games go on sale. Occasionally you can get single seat lower level ticket, but 2 together is very rare or impossible for an individual game.

Yeah but I think if I gotten in first thing in the morning I could have gotten sideline instead of baseline mezzanine...

I have always had good luck getting tickets outside the arena for games. I have never failed to get good seats and most times, for reasonable prices. The KU game will be an exception I am sure.

Check with some of the local ticket agencies...we used to get a full set of arena level seats for the season through Ticket City I think it was. There are Always tickets to be had in front of the center for arena level. Not sure how much - closer to tipoff they obviously get lower.

YOu can also find tickets that season ticket holders want to sale at or lower than face here at Texas ticket marketplace. I've gotten tickets to many games including Kansas and others here over the years:

FWIW, I got an arena level ticket for KU from Texas Box Office today, and bought a round-trip on SW for not much more than the ticket. Happy am I. Quite happy.

I arrange housing and transportation and I am good.

I'd be curious to know how ticket sales are doing. Sounds like they're doing very well.

Hope the fans turn out in big numbers this season, especially in the early games.
