Shoot'em Up

I netflix'd Shoot'em Up and started watching it last night... horrible ******* movie. I can sit through just about any movie and have (didn't leave the theater during Battlefield Earth, the worst movie ever) but Shoot'em Up was too painful to finish.

Before getting it I knew it would be over the top action but this **** was just too ridiculous. I kept giving it second chances, like after the merry-go-round scene with the baby, but after the 6th or 7th time I found myself completely dumbfounded by the stupid **** I was putting myself through I decided to just turn it the **** off.

Did anyone enjoy this steaming pile?

I liked it. Sure it was lots of mindless violence, butI like that kind of thing.

I've got nothing against mindless violence but the action scenes were almost cartoon-like they were so unrealistic. I was expecting a big anvil to drop out of the sky and flatten Paul Giammati like a pancake, then he'd stand up paper thin with birds and stars circling his head.

Only thing worth watching in the movie was that matrix woman. Rest was a pile of steaming

Funniest thing about the movie is that it's antigun....

All that violence and it's anti firearm.

I enjoyed it. It would've been better if they never laid out the storyline. A baby, Monica Bellucci, a bunch of killing, and in the end he kills Giamatti with no explanation whatsoever. If it had been like that, it would've been the best movie of 2007.

I think that Clive Owen eating carrots all the time was a pretty clear reference to Bugs Bunny.

Yeah, I know I know. It was supposed to be over the top. That's actually what I was expecting and was looking forward to. I really like Clive Owen and Paul Giammatti and I like stupid action movies too, but I still think this was a terrible ******* movie. It was all the more disappointing because I really wanted to see this movie when it came out in the theater and having been waiting for it to come out on DVD.

For all the creative action that was supposed to be in the movie I never found myself going "Holy **** that was cool!!!" For being so over the top and outrageous in concept it delivered boring and down right stupid action scenes.

I'm glad some people enjoyed it but I honestly don't know how.

Seriously, this was a fun movie. Possibly the best part was the NO SEX AT ALL scene, where he's still shooting everyone.

OMG, watched this last night - LOVED IT! Anyone get a total of his body count? My Lord, he killed 8 people without even taking it out of Monica during sex. Brilliant movie, absolute genius.
